The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) has expressed special interest in the find and is using it to bring the name dispute to the fore after Greek newspaper Agelioforos published an article on the excavation titled “Secrets of the Macedonian Land.” An article in FYROM’s English Language Newsagency Independent, titled “The Greeks Have Associated Even the Archaeology with the Macedonian’s Name Issue” states that the commentary in Angelioforos refered to the NATO summit to take place in Wales on September 4-5 in an article on the excavation site.
